Before an instructor can assign a scenario to a group, the instructor must assign themselves to a class. To assign yourself to a class, please follow the steps below:
1. Log into NurseSquared with your school code, User ID, and password.
2. When prompted, select the option for Take Me to InstructorSquared and click the GO button.
3. Once the interface has loaded, select the My Maintenence tab at the top.
4. When the information on this tab loads, you will see a box at the top named Courses I Currently Teach. Any class you are currently assigned to is listed here. If you do not see the correct class listed in this area, click on the green button for Add a Course I Teach.
5. When you click the Add a Course I Teach button, 2 new sections should appear underneath. The left section shows all classes in your school's database you are not currently assigned to. The right section shows all classes you are currently assigned to. To add yourself to a class, double-click on it in the left section and it will transfer over to the right section.
6. When finished assigning yourself to classes, click on the green Save button. Once the changes have been saved, you will see a confirmation message. The Courses I Currently Teach section should now list the class(es) selected. If no new entries appear, repeat the steps again until they do show in this section.
Once you have assigned yourself to the correct class, you can assign a scenario to a group by following the directions below:
1. Select the Assigning Scenarios tab.
2. You will see a list of each scenario currently in your school's database. Locate the scenario you would like to assign to your students and double-click on it.
3. After double-clicking on a scenario to select it, the list of classes you are assigned to will appear below. Double-click on the class that contains the student(s) you wish to assign the scenario to.
4. Below the list of classes, there are 2 radio buttons: Show Students and Show Groups. The instructor will need to select Show Groups.
5. Any groups in the class that are not assigned to the scenario will appear in the All Students for This Course section on the left side. Any groups already assigned to this scenario will appear in the Students/Groups Assigned This Scenario section on the right. To assign the scenario to a group, double-click on the group's name in the All Students for This Course section. To un-assign the scenario from a group, double-click on the group's name in the Students/Groups Assigned This Scenario section.
6. When you are finished assigning the scenario to groups, click on the green Save button. When your changes have been saved, you will receive a notification.
